Role Overview

Are you looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? We’re seeking an Assistant Distribution Centre Manager to join our team at Elland. This key role supports the overall efficiency of the distribution operation and involves running the warehouse in the absence of the Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the unloading and receipt of goods into the warehouse
• Supervise checks and documentation for deliveries, ensuring compliance and record-keeping
• Conduct quality inspections and initiate remedial actions as needed
• Lead, train, and motivate team members and supervisors
• Contribute to health and safety management within the warehouse
• Monitor workload and ensure safety procedures are followed
• Assist with moving and handling of furniture and carpets
• Support maintenance and security of the premises, transport, stock, and colleagues
• Maintain general housekeeping standards
• Oversee basic equipment maintenance and handle heavy lifting tasks
• Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays
