Job summary

EY-Parthenon’s Infrastructure Advisory team is seeking a motivated Assistant Director to lead financial, commercial and strategic advisory on major infrastructure transactions. You will guide complex models, structure procurements, and drive client engagements in both public and private sectors across the UK.

Based in London or regional offices (Manchester, Bristol, Scotland), you will mentor junior team members and contribute to EY’s growth strategy while delivering impact for clients on

Qualifications

• Understanding of project finance and privately financed infrastructure, including debt/equity structures, risk allocation, procurement models and investor/lender requirements.
• Understanding of UK infrastructure markets, including regulated asset models, RAB, PPP/concession and availability-based structures.
• Ability to lead complex client engagements, manage senior stakeholders and make sound commercial judgments.
• Ability to interpret complex financial analysis and challenge modelling outputs to support strategic client decisions.
• Business development capability, including relationship development and proposal leadership.
• Strong team leadership, coaching and project management capability.
• High-quality written and verbal communication, including board-level reports and senior stakeholder presentations.
• Ability to thrive in a flexible working environment as part of a diverse and dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Lead small teams delivering financial, commercial and strategic advice on transactions and finance strategy.
• Develop and nurture a sector-wide network to support business development.
• Help clients make evidence-based decisions through option appraisals.
• Oversee and challenge complex financial models, including financing structures and scenario analyses.
• Develop debt and equity processes, including lender engagement and term sheet development.
• Structure and advise on procurements and bid evaluations.
• Present impactful reports to senior client stakeholders for decisions.
• Drive business development activities and EY growth strategies.
• Lead origination and sales activities.
• Contribute to sector thought leadership and EY perspectives on major transactions financing.
• Build and maintain senior client relationships across government and private sector.
• Support development and coaching of junior team members.
