Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Undertaking baseline habitat survey, assessment, and reporting
• Working independently and with our ecologists in the wider region to ensure quality project delivery
• Communicating with clients to ensure project deadlines are met
• Writing technical reports such as ecological constraints reports, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, and protected species reports

Person Specification

• A full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
• Graduate-level education in a relevant subject
• Good knowledge and experience of ecology, legislation, survey techniques, protected species surveys, and mitigation
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to produce accurate technical reports
• A proactive attitude to managing your time, finding solutions, and delivering work on time and to standards
• CIEEM membership
• Experience with Biodiversity Net Gain assessment and UKHABs
• Strong botanical skills (e.g., NVC, Condition Assessments)
• One protected species licence (e.g., Great Crested Newt or Bats)

Salary and Benefits
