Are you passionate about corporate governance and looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic and successful organisation? easyJet’s award-winning Company Secretariat team plays a crucial role in our success by providing a high-quality and comprehensive governance support to the PLC Board, its committees, and the Airline Management Board. We are dedicated to maintaining high standards of corporate governance across the Group by expertly managing Board support, overseeing listed company matters such as the AGM and share registration, ensuring robust subsidiary governance, and handling certain key aspects of the Group’s share schemes.

What you'll be doing

In this key role within our small team, you will handle a broad range of corporate governance matters. Responsibilities include supporting Board Committee and AMB meetings, ensuring compliance with the Market Abuse Regulations, and managing Companies Act and listing obligations. You'll also assist with AGM logistics, handle shareholder registration queries, draft sections of the Annual Report, and coordinate the annual review of Committee terms of reference. Additionally, you will update the governance framework, monitor regulatory developments, forecast share scheme requirements, and manage statutory records. You'll act as the first point of contact for regulatory announcements, liaise with senior management, and deputise for the Senior Assistant Company Secretary as needed, while undertaking various corporate governance projects.

Requirements of the Role

What you'll bring to the team

You have experience working in a Company Secretarial team within a listed company, ideally a FTSE 250. You are qualified or part-qualified with the Chartered Governance Institute, possess strong project management, planning, and organizational skills, and can work well under pressure, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. Your good communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong relationship-building abilities enable you to liaise with Senior Managers and Directors and proactively influence where appropriate. You have a working knowledge of share schemes and can understand, interpret, and apply technical rules. Self-motivated and a strong team player, you demonstrate a keen sense of ownership and desire for continuous improvement. Professional and approachable, you have a flexible "can-do" attitude, interact successfully with senior management, colleagues, and external suppliers, and uphold integrity and high ethical standards, acting with discretion at all times.

    This full-time role will be based inLuton and will be 40 hours per week. Hybrid working with 3 days in the office.
