Job summary

Southampton City Council invites applications for a permanent full-time Assistant Commissioning Support Officer in the Living and Ageing Well team. You will support transformational change, oversee performance management of commissioned services and contribute to planning, redesign and contract management across home care and housing with care options.

You will visit providers to monitor performance and quality, support with market development for direct payments with Care Market Oversight, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of experience in a specialist area.
• Experience monitoring performance indicators with stakeholders.
• Experience contributing to projects and service development to improve outcomes.
• Ability to manage a substantial and varied workload.
• Strong communication and feedback skills; able to work independently with providers.

Responsibilities

• Support transformational change and performance management of commissioned services.
• Visit commissioned providers to conduct monitoring meetings and review performance and quality.
• Assist with the whole commissioning cycle including planning, service redesign, contract management and performance.
• Develop the personal assistant market for direct payments with Care Market Oversight.
• Collaborate with housing, health services and Integrated Care Board on strategic initiatives.
