Job summary

Southampton City Council is seeking a permanent full-time Assistant Commissioning Support Officer to join the Living and Ageing Well commissioning team. You will support transformational change, monitor performance and assist with the full commissioning cycle, including planning, service redesign and contract management, working with providers to improve outcomes for Southampton residents.

You will need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of experience in a specialist area.
• Experience of monitoring performance indicators and achieving outcomes to timescales.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and assisting with projects.
• Experience supporting service development and improving outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support transformational change and performance management of commissioned services.
• Visit providers to conduct monitoring meetings and review performance and quality.
• Assist with the full commissioning cycle including planning, service redesign, contract management and performance.
• Support market development, e.g., developing the personal assistant market for direct payments.
