Job summary

Bupa Portishead is seeking an Assistant Chef to join our care home kitchen team. Based at Norwood Lodge, Portishead, you will craft varied menus using fresh ingredients, respecting dietary needs, and helping residents feel at home through excellent dining experiences.

You will train and lead the kitchen team, ensuring hygienic practices, safe food handling, and timely delivery of meals for residents and events.

Qualifications

• A passion for cooking with relevant hygiene certificates.
• Experience in a fresh food kitchen.
• Ability to communicate well with residents and team.

Responsibilities

• Use passion for cooking to create varied and nutritious menus.
• Train and manage kitchen team in prep, cooking and serving.
