Job summary

Norewood Lodge Care Home in Portishead, part of Bupa, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant on a part-time basis. You will help plate meals, prepare food trolleys and support the kitchen team to deliver a pleasant dining experience for residents.

We require previous kitchen experience and a valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You will work with care home staff to maintain high standards and comply with COSHH and HACCP guidelines while supporting events and daily meal service.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience and a passion for delivering high-quality meals.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep prep areas clean and tidy.
• Monitor stock rotation and ensure compliance with company policies, COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
