Job summary

Bupa UK is seeking an Assistant Chef for Tadworth Grove Care Home. You will work in a busy care home kitchen, cooking fresh meals for residents and leading a small team. Typical hours 7am–6pm, 40 hours per week with alternate weekends, permanent contract.

You’ll follow COSHH and HACCP guidelines, contribute to menu planning, and support special events while ensuring a high standard of food quality and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fresh food kitchen with hygiene certifications.
• Ability to create varied menus meeting dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for residents.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff.
• Ensure COSHH and HACCP guidelines are followed; manage orders and deliveries.
• Support events and special occasions with appropriate catering.
