Aramark UK is recruiting an Assistant Chef to join our military catering operation at Vimy Barracks, Catterick Garrison. You will assist with breakfast, lunch and dinner service, support chefs with food production and ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.

The role offers £12.71 per hour, 35 hours per week, with some weekend work, plus life assurance, pension, and access to benefits and training opportunities. A DBS check and security clearance are required before starting.

Responsabilités

• Assist with breakfast, lunch and dinner meal preparation and cooking
• Support chefs with food production and presentation
• Ensure ingredients are prepared and stored in line with food safety requirements
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and prep areas
• Assist with stock control, deliveries and stock rotation
• Follow recipes, portion controls and production schedules
• Complete food safety and due diligence records as required
• Support wider kitchen team during busy service periods
• Adhere to health & safety, food safety and company procedures

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Chef to join our team at Vimy Barracks, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3PS. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to support a busy military catering operation, helping to deliver high-quality meals while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
• Supporting chefs with food production and presentation

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout kitchen and food preparation areas
• Assisting with stock control, deliveries, and stock rotation

Additional Information

• Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check.
• Security clearance will also be required prior to commencing employment.
