Mariposa Care Group Ltd is seeking an Assistant Chef for St Lukes Care Home. The role involves preparing, cooking and serving meals for residents, with attention to dietary needs. You will assist with deliveries, cleaning, and safety standards under the Head Chef.

More about the role

As a general guide you will help prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, providing special dietary requirements where necessary for residents. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will maintain accurate records and the correct orderingof food supplies.

You will also check deliveries and ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and the kitchen, dining areas -including equipment -are cleaned to statutory Health and Safety standards.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience of working in a care home kitchen, as well as a Level 2 or Level 3 catering qualification or equivalent or a commitment to undertake further training and development relevant to the role.
