Job summary

Bupa Clare House Care Home in Uxbridge is seeking an Assistant Chef to join the kitchen team and deliver varied, nourishing meals for residents, using fresh ingredients and adhering to dietary needs.

You will train and lead the kitchen team, maintain HACCP standards, manage orders/deliveries, and contribute to special events to keep residents feeling at home and well cared for.

Qualifications

• A passion for cooking with experience in a fresh food kitchen.
• Relevant hygiene certificates.
• Commitment to delivering an excellent dining experience and making residents feel at home.

Responsibilities

• Create varied, nutritious menus meeting residents' dietary needs.
• Suggest ideas to improve dining experiences and make residents feel at home.
• Train and manage kitchen team in prepping, cooking and serving.
• Follow COSHH/HACCP, budgets, orders and deliveries.
• Support events and seasonal activities (e.g., summer fetes, Christmas parties).
