As an Assistant Chef, you will be responsible for cooking and serving nutritious, healthy meals that our Residents will love. You'll provide outstanding support to our First Chef, taking charge in their absence. Whether you're managing food stock, optimizing your budget, coaching colleagues, or supervising kitchen clean-up, you'll always prioritize Resident wellbeing.
HC-One is looking for an Assistant Chef with at least a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Beyond qualifications, we value your positive energy, ability to get along with people, organization skills, and your knack for following recipes precisely. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are essential.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to report concerns. All colleagues will attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
