Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries in Cardiff is seeking an Assistant Chef to join our kitchen team, preparing healthy meals for children and supporting dietary needs. You will assist the Chef, help with stock management, and uphold food safety standards in a busy early years setting.

Based at Cardiff Gate, our Outstanding Ofsted nursery offers a four-day working week option, generous benefits, and opportunities for professional development within a supportive, community-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy, nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements for children.
• Support the Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensure kitchen inventory is well-maintained and assist with ordering and stock management.
• Support meal preparation and assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
