Job summary

Protyre Autocare is looking for a hands-on, dynamic Assistant Centre Manager to join our growing team. You will help run the centre, driving customer service and meeting centre targets while maintaining high standards.

The role requires a technical or mechanical background, workshop and management experience, and a Full UK Driving Licence. You will support the Centre Manager and mentor the workshop team to deliver quality work safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence, held for at least 6 months.
• Workshop experience and management experience.
• Technical or mechanical background / knowledge.
• Ability to coach and mentor a team.
• Experience leading a team.
• Commercial awareness to maximise opportunities.
• Experience in account management.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Centre Manager in the operation and daily running of the depot.
• Supporting the team in the workshop mechanically.
• Achieving Centre targets and KPIs.
• Overseeing stock value maintenance.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Ensuring work complies with Company Policies and Procedures.

About the role

• Assisting the Centre Manager in the operation and daily running of the depot
• Supporting the team in the workshop mechanically
• Playing a key part in the Centre targets including key performance indicators
• Overseeing the maintenance of stock values within the centre
• Offering and delivering excellent customer service
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Company Policies and Procedures

About you

• Technical or Mechanical background / knowledge.
• The ability to support the technicians in the workshop if required
• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability and desire to coach and mentor the team
• Previous experience leading a team
• A high level of understanding of car technology
• Working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety requirements
• Experience of account management
• Commercial awareness to maximize business opportunities
• Full UK Driving Licence
