Job summary

Protyre Autocare is seeking an hands-on Assistant Centre Manager to join our growing team in the UK. You will assist with delivering business objectives, manage centre operations, and lead the workshop alongside technicians to meet targets while maintaining high customer service standards.

You will bring a technical or mechanical background, a full UK driving licence, and a proven ability to coach and mentor a team, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Centre Manager in daily operation and running of the depot.
• Support workshop team in technical/core tasks as needed.
• Drive achievement of centre KPIs and targets.
• Oversee stock value maintenance and service standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service and adhere to company policies.

Protyre Autocare are looking for a hands-on, dynamic and commercially focusedAssistant Centre Managerto join our growing team.

As theAssistant Centre Manageryou will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of company business objectives through effective management and co-ordination of the Centre, whilst ensuring a high level of customer service, centre standards and taking a leading role dealing with customers.

Essential:

• Full Clean UK Driving Licence, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply – points or offences may affect your application)
• Workshop experience and Management Experience

About the role:

• Assisting the Centre Manager in the operation and daily running of the depot
• Supporting the team in the workshop mechanically
• Playing a key part in the Centre targets including key performance indicators
• Overseeing the maintenance of stock values within the centre
• Offering and delivering excellent customer service
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Company Policies and Procedures

About you:

• Technical or Mechanical background / knowledge.
• The ability to support the technicians in the workshop if required
• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability and desire to coach and mentor the team
• Previous experience leading a team
• A high level of understanding of car technology
• Working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety requirements
• Experience of account management
• Commercial awareness to maximize business opportunities
• Full UK Driving Licence
