Job summary

Elliott Hudson College is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Catering Manager to support the in-house catering service, delivering high quality, nutritious meals for students, staff and visitors. You will help manage day-to-day operations, food safety, hygiene and customer service in a busy school kitchen.

Working with the Catering Manager, you will supervise staff, assist with stock control, ordering and food preparation while promoting healthy eating and a positive dining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience preparing and serving food to a consistently high standard.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards and HACCP principles.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to motivate and work effectively with a catering team.
• Experience of stock control, ordering and monitoring food supplies.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness.
• Experience of allergen management and food safety record keeping.
• Positive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Willingness to achieve Level 2 Food Safety/ Food Hygiene qualification.
• Experience within a school or education setting is desirable.

We are seeking anenthusiastic, organised and dedicated Assistant Catering Manager tosupport the delivery of our in-house catering service at Elliott HudsonCollege. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in providing ahigh-quality, nutritious and welcoming dining experience for our students,staff and visitors.

As Assistant Catering Manager,you will work closely with the Catering Manager to support the day-to-dayoperation of the academy kitchen and dining facilities, helping to ensureexcellent standards of food quality, hygiene, food safety and customer service.You will assist with food production and service, stock control, ordering, foodsafety compliance and the supervision of catering staff, whilst maintaining apositive and efficient working environment.

Working as part of a dedicatedcatering team, you will help deliver a high-quality food offer, promote healthyeating and contribute to creating an enjoyable dining experience for all. Thesuccessful candidate will also deputise for the Catering Manager when requiredand support the smooth running of the catering operation.

This role would suit anexperienced catering professional with strong organisational skills, aproactive approach and a passion for delivering an outstanding catering servicewithin an educational setting.
