Holroyd Howe, a leading education caterer in Hull, seeks a Food Service Assistant/General Assistant/Catering Assistant to support breakfast, lunch and dinner services at a prestigious school. You will help maintain high standards of food safety, service and teamwork in a busy dining environment.

Nestled in the heart of Hull, this prestigious independent school caters for 700 - 800

day pupils as well as staff and includes not only a breakfast & lunch service but also an extensive hospitality service. This operates

6days a week.

Day 6 is required at least once a month on a rota basis.

Job Description

As a

Food Service Assistant/General Assistant/catering Assistantyou will…

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
