Our Vacancy

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant CAD Technician to join our supportive design team. Whether you’ve recently completed a course or have a little hands-on experience, this is a great opportunity to kick-start a long-term career in infrastructure design.

Full training will be provided – all you need is basic CAD knowledge and a willingness to learn.

What you’ll be doing:

• Producing accurate AutoCAD drawings to support water infrastructure designs
• Re-drafting external design elements and hand sketches onto AutoCAD templates
• Ensuring drawings are completed to the required standards and timescales
• Providing general drawing office support to our Clients, Technical and Operations teams
• Maintaining open communication with internal teams and supporting project collaboration
• Assisting in the maintenance of the drawing record database

What we’re looking for:

• A foundation in CAD (from college, a short course, personal interest or work experience)
• Enthusiasm to grow your skills in a real-world design environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in your work
• A team-focused attitude and good communication skills
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
