Job description

As anAssistant Buyer on womenswear you will supportthe team to ensure we maximise the departmentssales and profitability. In the role you maintain organisation within the department including sample handling. You contribute to the best purchase by securing customer and brand requirements on orders with regards to time, price, quality and quantity.

What you will do:

  • Support to maximise the departments/concepts sales and profitability by maintaining timelines bothbefore and after order replacement
  • Followweekly trade updates for future opportunities.
  • Drive daily organisation and running of the department for your teamContinuously evaluate and research our customer, figure out the buying habits and its effects ontrends, deliver information to the design team to drive product development
  • Conduct regular analysis of our competitors and provide insights to team, ensuring we offer ourcustomers great value for money
  • Communicate with the production office, follow up order placements and meet deadlines.
  • Handle samples as well as oversee and maintain the wardrobe, making sure all samples are kept neat,tidy and organized
  • Manage the post flow from and to recipients
  • Raise orders, and order updates
  • Prepare and assist fittings, organize agenda, provide samples at the right place right time and rightquantity
  • Maintain responsibility for ensuring call-off, supplier and trailing quantity moves happen as required
  • Be part of reviewing and analysing the departments product, assortment and selling, consider actionsaccording to the business needs and present sales figures.

  • Product Development knowledge working with an in-house design team.

  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
  • Good understanding of external trends and competitor activity.
