• Ensure order accuracy and update internal systems.
• Coordinate with the Senior Materials Planner and Buyer.
• Maintain documentation and assist with administration.

Job Title: Assistant Buyer (Material Planner) - Surfacing

We are currently seeking an Assistant Buyer (Material Planner) - Surfacing. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day to day support to the Senior Materials Planner and Buyer for Surfacing, helping the function to successfully fulfil the end-to-end process of sourcing construction materials for building projects.

The Successful Applicant will:

• Meet the qualifications and experience requirements outlined below.
• Hold English and Mathematics GCSE Grade 4/C, Level 2 Functional Skills, or equivalent.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with booking of material requirements for programmed works with relevant supplier and all associated administrative work.
• Assisting our Senior Materials Planner and Buyer to ensure that rates match orders and all administration is of the highest standard.
• Assisting with the ordering of asphalt orders to site works, ensuring that materials arrive when expected.
• Liaising with RM Contractors Customer Care team where required and focusing on any issues that may arise day-to-day.
• Update internal systems with orders where required.

Package

o Contract Type: Permanent

o Weekly Hours: 07:30 to 16:30 (we are open to discussing reasonable adjustments)

o Holiday Allowance: 23 days plus bank holidays, with additional holiday based on service. For part-time employees, holiday entitlement will be calculated on a pro-rata basis
