Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council invites applications for an Assistant Business Support Manager to join the Environmental Services Group on a full-time basis. Based at 2 Llys Cadwyn, Pontypridd, the role may operate across four sites with hybrid working on a rota.

The successful candidate will support the Business Support Manager and contribute to efficient, frontline service delivery. The role requires careful attention to detail, a pleasant telephone manner, and solid computer literacy

Grade 11 - £44,253 (37 hours)

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Business Support Manager to join the team supporting the Environmental Services Group on a full-time basis. Although based at 2 Llys Cadwyn, Pontypridd there may be need to work form one of our other 3 sites as required but this will be on an ad hoc basis as the needs of the service dictate.

Hybrid working is available once the successful candidate is confortable with the needs of the services supported. This will be on a rota with the other team members but is not compulsory if the successful candidates prefers working from the office full time.

The role entails supporting the work of the Business Support Manager and helping to manage the day to day workload and procedures of the Business Support team which is spread over 4 sites, and will work as part of the team at all times. The role is to provide support to the Environmental Services Group's service areas which are very much frontline services and the successful applicant will have to demostrate the ability to make decisions and deliver outcomes quickly and efficiently.

Careful attention to detail is essential and a pleasant telephone manner. Computer literacy is essential and a good, friendly nature with the ability to work in an extremely busy team.

The work is varied and reactive. No 2 days are the same and priorities shift constantly dependent upon weather and service changes.

Protecting children and vulnerable adults is a core responsibility of all staff appointed to the Council.

In addition to this safeguarding responsibility, the successful applicant for this role will also be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
