Amey is seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to join the Advisory team in a permanent role. You will assist with surveys, reports, specifications, and project documentation, working under experienced professionals to ensure quality, cost and programme objectives.
You will contribute to building surveys, condition surveys, measured surveys and asset inspections while developing understanding of technical processes and risk management in a nuclear/regulated context.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Assistant Surveyor to join our Advisory team - a vibrant, inclusive community that celebrates our differences and makes a real impact across the UK.
As an Assistant Surveyor, you will work under the guidance of experienced surveying professionals, supporting the delivery of technically sound surveying solutions across a variety of projects. You will assist with the preparation of surveys, reports, specifications and project documentation while contributing to the successful delivery of projects that meet quality, cost and programme objectives.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of delivering projects within the nuclear sector or other highly regulated environments. Experience working on nuclear licensed sites, knowledge of nuclear safety culture, and familiarity with relevant regulatory and assurance frameworks will be highly valued. Applicants holding, or working towards, NSQEP (Nuclear Skills Qualification and Experience Passport) recognition are encouraged to apply. Whether your background is in project management, architecture, structural engineering, building services, surveying or multidisciplinary design, we are looking for professionals who can bring a strong understanding of safety, compliance, quality assurance and technical excellence to support the continued growth of our nuclear and complex infrastructure portfolio which will include; decommissioning and waste management, defence nuclear programmes, SMRs and working with advanced reactors and new nuclear build.
