• Local work: You’ll get out and about of course, but you’ll never be sent off to a small survey Aberdeen or Portsmouth. It’ll be mostly very local.
• Strong support: The bosses look inwardly when a mistake happens or a problem occurs. They don’t play the blame game. They’d rather drop a problem client than make you uncomfortable at work dealing with them, and they have done that recently.

What you'll do

You'll help clients in various sectors to manage their existing assets, through a variety of activities that include assessing existing buildings, advising on condition, possible cost of works, contract administration, and environmental and sustainability management.

You'll get the opportunity to focus on what you prefer. Especially when you're established and experienced, but even from an early point in your career.

So you could do all or pick and choose out of the following types of day to day activities:

• Condition Surveys
• CAD Drawings
• Dilapidations
• Helping out on Tendering

What you'll need

• 1 or 2 years experience in a Graduate, Junior or Assistant Building Surveyor position
• A desire to work towards chartership and further qualification with plenty of support
• A driving license

About the company

They're a multi disciplinary construction consultant, with a very strong presence in the North. They've got a really stable workload, and they're really successful at bringing grads through to Chartered and even Associate Director level.
