Job summary

Huws Gray Limited is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager for the Heathrow branch. This hands-on role supports the Branch Manager to run the branch safely, smoothly and to a high standard each day.

You will act as the main contact, lead the branch in the Manager's absence, coach colleagues, and drive customer service, compliance, and profitability while ensuring safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing, operational, or sales environment.
• Hands-on approach with a focus on standards and safety.
• Willingness to support others and take responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch.
• Act as the main contact and lead the branch when the Branch Manager is away.
• Lead by example to deliver high standards of customer service.
• Ensure branch procedures, systems, and ways of working are followed.
• Be a visible role model for health, safety, and compliance.
• Support, coach, and motivate colleagues.
• Help build strong customer relationships and resolve issues professionally.
• Take practical action to support branch performance, efficiency, and profitability.
• Confidence to support and lead a team on a day-to-day basis.
• Hands-on approach and strong focus on standards and safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to support others and take responsibility when needed.
