Job summary

TOTAL Plumbing in Carmarthen is seeking an ambitious Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in daily operations, drive sales, and maintain excellent customer service. You will deputise when needed and play a key role in stock control, merchandising, and relationship-building with customers and suppliers.

In this role you will contribute to profit improvement, lead and develop staff, and ensure health, safety and company policies are followed, while working an average of 43.25

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience, ideally within the plumbing trade, retail, or merchanting sector.
• Strong focus on customer service and relationship building.
• Good commercial and financial awareness.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Hands-on, proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the branch and support the Branch Manager.
• Deputise for the Branch Manager as required.
• Assist with stock control, purchasing, and merchandising.
• Drive sales opportunities and grow the customer base.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Support financial targets, cash collection, and profit improvement.
• Motivate, coach, and develop staff.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, HR, and company policies.
