Roadhogs Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Boar Stud Manager in Lincolnshire (LN7) to support the Farm Manager in a new boar stud and laboratory facility. The role emphasises animal welfare, biosecurity, audit compliance and high standards of care.

You will assist with boar care, genetic material production and laboratory tasks, contributing to continuous improvement across the operation. The position is full-time with a 39-hour week, Mon-Fri, plus one weekend a month on a rota.

• Monitor animal behaviour and welfare.
• Maintain records of collections and observations.
• Maintain biosecurity and cleanliness across the farm.

We're recruiting for a an Assistant Pig (Boar) Farm Manager in Lincolnshire, LN7.

Our client is a leading organisation within the UK agricultural sector, combining traditional farming practices with modern, sustainable methods.

About The Role

As an Assistant Boar Stud Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Farm Manager across all areas of our brand new, state-of-the-art boar stud and laboratory facility.

Working as part of the management team, you will assist in the day-to-day operation of the stud and laboratory, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, biosecurity, health and safety, hygiene, quality assurance and audit compliance are maintained at all times.

You will take an active role in the care and management of boars, the production and supply of high-quality genetic material, and supporting laboratory processes that contribute to efficient and sustainable pig farming.

This is a hands‑on position requiring collaboration across all aspects of the operation, helping to drive performance, continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Boar Stud Manager and support at audits and vet visits

• Support the production of high-quality breeding material for artificial insemination
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the collection area
• Move pigs between housing units and the collection yard

• Maintain a high level of biosecurity and cleanliness across all areas of the farm
• On-farm laboratory work

Salary range: £34,000 - £36,000 DOE

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday (39 hours), with one weekend a month on a rota system (flexibility required).
