Job summary

Hawksmoor Air Street is seeking an Assistant Bar Manager to support the Bar Manager in leading the bar team and delivering Hawksmoor’s renowned drinks experience. You will combine creativity and leadership with a deep focus on guest satisfaction.

You’ll manage shifts, mentor bartenders, oversee stock and cost control, and deputise when needed to keep service smooth and energetic behind the bar. This role offers a hands-on, fast-paced environment at a celebrated London venue, with development

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Bar Manager or senior bartender at a quality cocktail-led venue.
• Passion for cocktails, wines, spirits and guest experience.
• Proven leadership and ability to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bar Manager with day-to-day leadership of the bar team.
• Lead shifts to ensure drinks quality, service and speed meet Hawksmoor standards.
• Help train and develop bartenders and barbacks through coaching and tastings.
• Manage stock, ordering, and waste for cost control.
• Be a visible, hands-on leader on the floor and behind the bar.
• Depose for the Bar Manager when needed to keep service smooth.

Assistant Bar Manager

What You’ll Do

• Support the Bar Manager with day-to-day leadership of the bar team
• Lead shifts confidently, ensuring drinks quality, service and speed meet Hawksmoor standards
• Help train and develop bartenders and barbacks through coaching and tastings
• Manage stock, ordering, and waste to maintain excellent cost control
• Be a visible, hands-on leader on the floor and behind the bar
• Deputise for the Bar Manager when needed, keeping service smooth and consistent

Who You Are

• Experienced as an Assistant Bar Manager, Supervisor or strong Head Bartender in a quality, cocktail-led venue
• Passionate about cocktails, wines, spirits and creating memorable guest experiences
• A supportive leader who develops and motivates their team
• Organised, energetic and confident under pressure
• Ambitious and ready to progress towards a Bar Manager role
