Due to increased demand within the Facilities Maintenance & Compliance team, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Helpdesk professional to support the delivery of maintenance services through the effective coordination of work requests, contractors and stakeholders.
Your new role As Assistant Asset Technician
You will be responsible for receiving and managing maintenance requests, coordinating with contractors and operational teams, updating CAFM systems and ensuring a high standard of customer service is delivered to service users.

Key responsibilities: Act as a first point of contact for maintenance and facilities-related enquiries via telephone and email.
Log, allocate and monitor work orders through CAFM systems.
Liaise with Estates Supervisors, Managers and contractors to ensure efficient service delivery.
Prioritise reactive maintenance requests and escalatE urgent issues where required.
Maintain accurate records within CAFM systems, including Concerto, Oracle EAM or similar platforms.
Provide administrative support to the wider Facilities Maintenance & Compliance team.
Support the Helpdesk Supervisor in onboarding and training new team members.
Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries.
Monitor job progress and provide updates to stakeholders.
Assist with coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities.
Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with health and safety procedures.
Support service improvement initiatives and contribute to the effective operation of the Helpdesk function.
Work collaboratively with internal departments, contractors and service providers.
What you’ll need to succeed Previous experience within a Facilities Helpdesk, Service Desk, Scheduling or Facilities Administration environment.
Experience using CAFM systems such as Concerto, Oracle EAM or similar facilities’ management platforms.
Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritise workloads within a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience supporting maintenance or facilities management operations would be advantageous.
