Job summary

MAG is seeking an Assistant Airfield Ground Lighting Technician to join our established engineering team at East Midlands Airport. You will undertake routine maintenance, alignment and installation of all Airfield Ground Lighting per manufacturer recommendations and CAA/SRG codes of practice.

Typical duties include documenting maintenance activities, performing routine installations, attending training, and supporting airfield stores while ensuring compliance with electrical regulations and EMA

Qualifications

Completion of an electrical installation or maintenance apprenticeship NVQ level 3 or sufficient experience in an electrical contracting.
18th Edition trained
Full UK Driving Licence
Experience in HV, generator systems and regulators.
AGL course trained Module 1 – 3.
Authorised Person trained

Responsibilities

Document and record all the maintenance, alignment and installations as required by EMA Codes of Practice.
Undertake routine maintenance and installation of all other Airport Aeronautical Ground Lighting equipment as directed.
Attend trainings to maintain competence to the standards required by CAA/SRG.
Carry out planned maintenance schedules.
Assist and co-operate in the efficient running of Airfield Engineering stores.
Ensure compliance with Electrical Regulations and EMA Approved procedures.
