Job summary

Glasgow Prestwick Airport is seeking an Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) technician within the Air Traffic Engineering department to maintain and service AGL systems across the airfield and buildings.

You will perform fault rectification, inspections, and liaison with contractors, ensuring documented processes and regulatory compliance while supporting emergencies and trainee development.

• Flexible to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service AGL equipment and field installations.
• Maintain AGL competency and liaise with HV contractors.
• Support procedures ensuring documented processes for equipment.
• Keep regulatory records for authorities (CAA/SARG, HSE).
• Support recruitment and development of AGL trainees/apprentices.
• Assist in emergencies and during winter operations.
• Oversee project works delegated by Manager Air Traffic Engineering.
