Job Description

  • Preparing and reviewing accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, whilst completing tax returns.
  • Leading small/medium-sized assignments and assisting on larger projects.
  • Providing guidance and leadership to junior staff.
  • Being a key point of contact for clients and team members.
  • Ensuring all financial operations comply with legal regulations and company policies.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and jobs, overseeing yourself and others, and contributing to business development in the Weymouth office.
  • Monitoring departmental performance and proposing improvements.
  • Leading by example to promote a positive work culture.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Assistant Manager should have:

  • A strong academic background in Accounting, ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • At least 2-3 years of post-qualified practice experience.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality accounting and finance services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
