Job description

An Assistant Manager position is available at a leading professional services firm in Weymouth. The successful candidate will join the Business Services department, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and an in-depth understanding of finance principles.

Description

  1. Preparing and reviewing accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, whilst completing Tax returns.
  2. You will also lead on small/medium-sized assignments and assist on large assignments.
  3. Provide guidance and leadership to junior staff.
  4. You'll be an important point of contact for your clients and for more junior members of the team.
  5. Ensure all financial operations comply with legal regulations and company policies.
  6. You'll be accountable for a portfolio of clients/jobs, managing yourself and others whilst also being actively involved in the business development for the Weymouth office.
  7. Monitor departmental performance and propose improvements.
  8. Lead by example, promoting a positive work culture.

Profile

A successful Assistant Manager should have:

  1. A strong academic background in Accounting, ACA or ACCA Qualified.
  2. At least 2-3 years post-qualified practice experience.
  3. Exceptional leadership abilities and people management skills.
  4. Proven track record of delivering high-quality accounting and finance services.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
