Job description

Exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented Assistant Accountant who is looking for a developmental position within the finance function of a highly entrepreneurial organization.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the following areas and responsibilities:

1. Manage the Profit & Loss account and Balance Sheet accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
2. Process all weekly and monthly wages for the group of companies and liaise with our Payroll Provider to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
3. Perform bank reconciliations.
4. Handle weekly and monthly wages processing.
5. Prepare VAT returns.
6. Post month-end journals.

This position will suit a determined and driven AAT finalist / qualified Assistant Accountant who is looking for a company that matches their desire to succeed. Ideally, you will have strong knowledge of SAGE, intermediate Excel skills, as well as a bright and enthusiastic attitude.
