Job summary

Eaton Syalon Ltd is recruiting an Assistant Accountant in Nottingham for a hands-on finance role within a busy team. You’ll support the Management Accounts Team and Finance Controller with a structured month-end close process, along with routine transactional tasks.

The ideal candidate is working towards AAT or AAT qualified, has strong Excel skills, and can apply basic payroll and ledgers experience in a fast-paced environment. This is an office-based position with study support.

Qualifications

• Experience in transactional finance with month-end support.
• Payroll processing exposure is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and ledger tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage expenses
• Process company credit cards
• Raise sales invoices
• Payroll - support current Payroll function and provide holiday cover
• Assisting in supplier statement reconciliations, cleansing the ledger and completing intercompany journals
• Management Accounts - month end operations - support with general ledger cashbook postings, bank reconciliations for multiple companies and balance sheet reconciliations
