Job summary

An experienced and Part-qualified or Qualified Assistant Accountant is sought to join a busy finance team in a manufacturing environment. You will report to the Financial Controller and play a proactive role across accounting, financial controlling, sales management and month-end reporting.

You will help ensure accurate financial information, robust internal controls and compliance with UK accounting requirements.

Qualifications

Degree in finance/accounting or working towards qualification.
Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong Excel and ERP knowledge.
Ability to meet group reporting deadlines.
Analytical and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Support the Financial Controller across finance, accounting and controlling activities, ensuring accurate financial information and robust financial controls.
Manage and analyse sales processes, including invoicing, engineering changes, sales performance and supplier recharges.
Prepare budgets, cash forecasts and profit and loss forecasts in collaboration with the Financial Controller.
Conduct detailed financial variance analysis against budgets, forecasts and estimates.
Complete month-end activities including reconciliations, accruals, stock-in-transit and shipped-not-billed items.
Assist with group reporting submissions using Excel and relevant systems.
Support internal controls and process improvements across the site.
Assist with audits and ensure accounting complies with group requirements.
