Job summary

Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment are supporting a growing organisation based in Kingswells, Aberdeen to recruit an Assistant Accountant to their finance team. This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid working and exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities.

Working closely with the Accountant and Finance Director, you will gain month-end exposure, maintain the general ledger, and contribute to accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or accounting role is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are required.
• Good communication skills and ability to handle competing priorities are important.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end activities and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and post journals; support reconciliations.
• Process sales invoices and assist with VAT and reporting as needed.
• Support credit control activities and cashflow forecasting.
• Assist with internal audits and ensure compliance with UK GAAP.
