Job summary

Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment is supporting a growing organisation in Kingswells, Aberdeen, to recruit an Assistant Accountant for their finance team. This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid working and study support for professional qualifications, with exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities.

You will work closely with the Accountant and Finance Director, gaining month-end and reporting experience while contributing to the continued success of a growing business.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a finance or accounting role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Able to manage competing priorities and meet month-end deadlines.
• Good communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close and general ledger tasks.
• Prepare and process bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Raise and process sales invoices and record revenue accurately.
• Support credit control activities and VAT/compliance tasks.
• Assist with reconciliations, financial analysis and reporting requirements.
• Support cashflow forecasting and ad hoc accounting duties.
