Job summary

Trek Bicycle Corporation Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Accountant in Milton Keynes with a hybrid working model. The role covers month-end reporting, accounts payable, treasury functions and compliance support within the UK Finance team.

The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, strong analytical ability, and a willingness to learn. The position is full-time and offers a pathway toward professional accounting qualifications.

Qualifications

• Interest in working towards a professional accounting qualification would be advantageous (AAT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Understanding of accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and reconciliations would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate issues and resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Month End & Financial Reporting: support month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations for Retail and Wholesale.
• Accounts Payable: process supplier payments and ensure policy compliance.
• Treasury & Cash Management: reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash positions.
• Compliance & Wider Team Support: assist VAT, PSA, Bikehub and PPT returns and ad hoc accounting tasks.
