The Accountancy Recruitment Group Ltd is assisting with the search for an Assistant Accountant in a fast-paced SME. You will report to the Financial Controller, handling the purchase and sales ledgers, reconciliations and month-end tasks while supporting payroll and expenses.

A supportive FC and driven MD/owner foster a collaborative environment. This role offers autonomy, a sensible work-life balance and potential for reduced hours or four days per week.

Competenze

• Previous experience in core transactional accounting (ledger duties, reconciliations, etc.)
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks
• Good understanding of Excel and general IT skills
• Ability to work with autonomy and stay organized
• Professionalism and a sense of humour preferred

Mansioni

• Support with all transactional finance areas (AP, sales ledger, credit control, payroll, expenses)
• Assist with month-end closing and reconciliations
• Process purchase and sales ledgers and support payroll
• Help across banking, cash posting, and basic financial reporting
