Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Reporting Manager and Finance Business Partners, helping to deliver accurate financial information to budget-holders.

You will develop your skills under supervision, benefit from a range of staff benefits, and gain practical experience in double-entry and reconciliations.

The role requires a Level 3 finance qualification (Level 4 preferred) and good Excel/Word ability.

Qualifications

Finance qualification to at least Level 3, preferably Level 4.
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
Experience with Excel and Word is essential.
Good understanding and experience of double entry and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

Support the Financial Reporting Manager and Finance Business Partners.
Assist in providing business partnering to budget-holders across College.
Develop skills under supervision within the team.
Contribute to financial reporting and reconciliation tasks.
