Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Reporting Manager and Finance Business partners in delivering accurate financial reporting and true business partnering to budget-holders across the College.

You will develop your skills under supervision, with access to a wide range of staff and multi-disciplinary experience, while working in a supportive team environment that encourages professional growth.

Qualifications

• Finance qualification to at least Level 3, preferably Level 4 (will consider QBE).
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
• Experience with Excel and Word essential; knowledge of double entry and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Financial Reporting Manager and Finance Business partners.
• Develop skills under supervision in financial reporting.
• Provide business partnering support to budget-holders across College.
