Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Reporting Manager and Finance Business partners in delivering a true business partnering service to budget-holders. You will develop your skills under supervision.

The role requires a finance qualification to Level 3+ (Level 4 preferred) or QBE, an NVQ Level 2 with English and Maths, and proficiency in Excel and Word. Experience in double-entry and reconciliations is essential.

Qualifications

• Finance qualification to at least Level 3 (Level 4 preferred) or QBE.
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
• Experience with MS Excel and Word.
• Experience in a similar role with double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Support Financial Reporting Manager and Finance Business partners.
• Develop skills under supervision.
• Provide a true business partnering service to budget-holders across College.
