Job summary

The Housing Network in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Luton head office. You will assist the Finance Manager, keep precise financial records and help enhance processes across the finance function.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in finance, are part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, and comfortable with AI productivity tools. Salary £36,000 per annum plus benefits and a Monday–Friday work week.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2-3 years' experience in a finance or accounting environment.
• Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA student.
• Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
• Experience using Microsoft Copilot, AI tools, Power Automate or other productivity technologies (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Manager with improving financial processes and systems.
• Maintain accurate financial records and perform reconciliations.
• Support month-end activities and ensure effective financial controls.
• Build relationships with internal departments to provide financial insight.
