Confidential is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the finance team in delivering accurate monthly UK management accounts and maintaining financial integrity across the business. This is a fixed-term maternity cover ending in April 2027, with three days per week in the office.

The role involves duties across accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and providing timely financial information to stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• AAT qualification or part-qualified ACCA status.
• Experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work efficiently with large, detailed spreadsheets.
• A proactive, detail-focused approach.

Aufgaben

• Prepare monthly UK management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Manage Accounts Payable and process weekly supplier payments.
• Reconcile bank accounts and revenue across multiple sales channels.
• Process credit card transactions and expenses.
• Investigate and resolve queries arising during month-end.
• Manage the UK Accounts inbox and respond to creditor queries.
• Support the Sales team with customer account queries as needed.
• Provide accurate, timely financial information and responsive support to colleagues across the business.
