Job Description:

My client is an accountancy practice specialising in helping owner-managed businesses achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:
  1. Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  2. Production of limited company year-end accounts to trial balance stage.
  3. Production of draft corporate tax returns.
  4. Preparation and review of Self-Assessment tax returns, including those from property, investments, employment, and sole trades. Monitoring and assisting with junior staff members.
  5. Preparation and review of client VAT returns. Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients regarding compliance issues and tax enquiries.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years’ experience in an accountancy practice
  • AAT Qualified (Preferred)
  • Experience with Xero (Preferred)
  • Experience in preparation of micro-entity and small company accounts
  • Experience dealing directly with clients (telephone, email, in person)
Additional Information:
  • Hours per week: 9-5, Monday – Friday
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays plus birthday off each year
  • Additional holiday days for each year of service (capped at 5)
