Robert Half is recruiting for an international business based in South Birmingham. The UK part of this business is experiencing significant growth and therefore needs to add a new head to their accounts team as an Assistant Management Accountant.

This is an ideal role for someone who is AAT qualified or at the start of their ACCA or CIMA studies.

Requirements:

• Good organisational and time management skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical, organised individual with high attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
• Enthusiasm and an appetite to learn about e-commerce (advantageous)
• Preparation of eCommerce business management accounts
• Responsible for posting journals within the General Ledger
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items within reconciliations
• Support the month-end process in collaboration with the Finance team
• Seek continuous improvement of processes and procedures for main control accounts
• Handle balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely completion with supporting documentation
• Provide year-end support for internal and external auditors
• Perform any other tasks as requested by the Management Accountant or Head of Finance and Administration
• Reconcile key control accounts
