RG Consultancy are partnering with a successful company to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant who will report to the financial controller. The role is suitable for an AAT qualified or studying candidate to join a supportive team and develop their career.

Key duties include month-end processes, journals, ledgers, reconciliations, credit control support, and liaising with suppliers. Hybrid working and 37.5 hours offer a good work-life balance.

• Experience with month-end processes.
• Experience with accruals and pre-payments.
• Preparing and posting journals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end processes.
• Assisting with accruals and pre-payments.

• Manage all sales and purchase ledger procedures.
• Managing aged debt reports.
• Assisting with credit control and resolving customer queries.
• Investigating discrepancies and ensuring outstanding items are resolved promptly.
• Statement reconciliations.
• Preparing payment runs.
• Liaising with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
• Daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Investigating and resolving variances.
• Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role.
• Strong knowledge of sales and purchase ledger processes.
• Confident using accounting software; SAGE, Excel.
• AAT studier (desirable but not essential).
