Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Carlton Park, Leicester. You will support the Finance Shared Services Team with various accounting tasks, including:

  1. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for key areas such as Hallmark, Hodinkee Insurance Services, and gift cards across the group;
  2. Journal entries;
  3. Identifying and implementing necessary controls;
  4. Investigating balances;
  5. Process improvements.

About You

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting or a similar role;
  • Degree educated;
  • Ambition to work in accounting and pursue qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA;
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn new systems like SAP ERP;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
