Purpose

The role will be responsible for supporting the preparation and examination of financial records in a timely and accurate manner. They will also ensure statements and records comply with regulations and guidance set by the relevant governing bodies.

Description

The role will support the Senior Financial Accounting Manager and the Head of European Accounting in providing cost and revenue reporting for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support the Accounting function during the month by preparing bank reconciliations, reports, journals, process improvements, and testing system updates.
2. Assist with monthly billing of merchants using the proprietary system and develop expertise in this area.
3. Support during internal and external audits.
4. Calculate VAT & VAT MOSS returns and manage VAT queries.
5. Complete balance sheet reconciliations with explanations for outstanding balances.
6. Coordinate with international colleagues to ensure process consistency across the group.
7. Support month-end processes for European entities, including accruals, adjustments, and variance analysis.
8. Prepare and upload journals accurately and timely.
9. Handle Ireland GL accounting end-to-end and support UK entities.
10. Assist with Accounts Payable for UK & Ireland, resolving discrepancies and queries.
11. Maintain accurate records and ensure proper archiving and filing.
12. Account for intercompany transactions accurately.
13. Undertake personal development and pursue a professional accounting qualification.
